She got her undergraduate degree in Aeronautical Engineering at RVCE, India where she developed an interest in material science and studied the buckling behavior of curved shells. After undergrad, she worked as a research assistant at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore where she modeled the dynamics of cell collectives and worked on quantifying the forces cells exert on soft gels during migration. At the Cohen Lab, she is interested in using electric fields to regulate fluid transport in kidney tissues to help develop treatment strategies for kidney disease and tiny bio-hybrid robotic actuators.In the lab you can find her 3D printing, trying to keep her plants alive, and taking care of Stubs. Outside of the lab she enjoys reading graphic novels, going on long bike rides, and watching all the bad reality shows on Netflix.
