Hailey received her B.S in physics at the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied the architecture and mechanical properties of Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms with Dr. Vernita Gordon. In the Cohen lab, she is excited about the physical principles that govern the collective migration and crowd dynamics in electrotaxing epithelial tissues.
    In the lab, you can find her lovingly re-locating bugs from her lab-mates' offices and from her code, watching cells crawl, or generating pretty rainbow plots and graphs. Outside the lab, she is often making sudden stops on her bike to get a better look at a bird or bug on her commute, stomping around in her favorite platform boots, or imitating the poses and expressions of her favorite art in the museum.
